CHILDREN'S SUNDAY MINISTRIES
Sunday mornings at HMUMC are a special time when children gather with their friends to learn about God's love and God's word.
SUNDAY MORNINGS • 9:30 A.M.
Single age classes are available for three-year-olds through fifth graders. Our Sunday School classes ages 3 through 3rd grade use Live B.I.G. curriculum from Cokesbury which is designed to help children learn about the love of God through Jesus so they can live their “Belief in God.”
4th and 5th Grade classes use ‘Grapple’ Curriculum which adds a webpage component. This tween ministry dives into issues that our children ’grapple’ with on a daily basis.
A Special Needs Sunday School class is offered at 9:30am in Room 144.
Three year olds remain in a self-contained class. Children’s Church curriculum entitled, 252Basics, is used for children in Pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade. These classes begin in their classrooms, then meet in the Great Room in a large group, high energy Worship atmosphere complete with media,music and drama. In Extreme Worship, we use the 252Basics model that teaches a monthly virtue through song and drama. Children return to their classroom for a small group discussion and dismissal.
