Senior Pastor Dr. David L. Davis Pastor Davis was assigned to the area by Bishop Lloyd Knox in June of 1995. He began the church in homes and moved the community to the Fort Daniel School and eventually to its present location. He has a love for helping people become devoted followers of Jesus Christ and holds a special place in his heart for the poor throughout the world. He and his wife Rachael were married in 1981 and have two daughters in college – Georgia in Georgia Tech and Ashlee in Georgia State. Pastor Dave earned his BA from Houghton Wesleyan, his Master of Divinity from Emory University and a Doctorate of Ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary.

Associate Pastor Jason Mincey I answered God’s call to the ministry in 2002 after a 15-year career with BellSouth. In June of 2003, I was appointed to Trinity United Methodist Church in Covington, Georgia, and served for five years before coming to Hamilton Mill UMC in June of 2008. I graduated from Heritage High School in Conyers, Georgia, in 1986, and hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Finance) from Kennesaw State University and a Master of Divinity degree from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. I’ve been happily married to Kim for 15 years and we have two beautiful daughters, Maggie (13) and Mackenzie (12). I want to pinch myself every day when I wake up! I still can’t believe that I am blessed to be able to teach, preach and serve the Lord alongside my brothers and sisters here at Hamilton Mill UMC! For me, there is no greater joy than seeing someone’s life transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit, seeing the look in their eyes when Jesus Christ ceases to be just a religious concept and finally becomes real to them. Faith is meaningless unless it is real, and it is not real until it is lived out. I genuinely enjoy helping people explore new ways to live out their faith in Christ by sharing His love with the world. |
