A spiritual renewal for growing and dedicated disciples of Christ.

/files/HMUMC Picture Gallery/Spiritual Growth/emmaus_logo.jpg      The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal experience for Christians intended to strengthen church leaders and develop dedicated disciples. The program structure is based on Jesus Christ’s model of servant hood.

HMUMC Walk to Emmaus Contact: Toni Pitt

As a pilgrim your walk will be a journey of 72-hour short courses in Christianity, comprised of fifteen talks by lay and clergy on the themes of God's grace, disciplines of Christian discipleship, and what it means to be the church. The course is wrapped in prayer and meditation, special times of worship and daily celebration of Holy Communion. You will be guided through the weekend by an Emmaus team composed of laity and clergy who have already experienced an Emmaus Walk.

You will return from your walk with a spiritual passion ready to live out your life as a true disciple of Jesus Christ. Other church members who have experience the Walk to Emmaus have described their experience as “life changing!”
