Sunday School
Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church offers many opportunities for spiritual growth and development. Currently there are six adult Sunday School classes:

9:30-10:30 a.m.
  • Builders - a class for young families
  • Seekers - a class for ages 50 plus
  • Solomon's Porch - Bible-based and intergenerational
  • Women of Faith - women only, all ages
11 a.m.-noon
  • Foundations - a Bible-based class for ages 20-40
  • Thirsting for Truth - all ages

Women's Ministries

  • Nifty Fifty Ladies (NFL +/-50) meets at 12:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at local restaurants for good food and meaningful fellowship. Locations vary so please call Linda Headley at 770.932.0060.
  • Ladies Annual Christmas Dinner invites women of the church and community to begin the Christmas season with a special time of fellowship, food and music on the Friday evening the week following Thanksgiving. To purchase tickets, call Tammy Dickie at 770.945.0284.
  • The Women's Annual Weekend Retreat, held in late winter, is an event where ladies are treated to a time away from their usual day-to-day obligations. Women attending this retreat come away with a greater sense of their relationship with their heavenly Father while enjoying fellowship and fun. Contact Nancy Boorman for more information.

    United Methodist Men
    United Methodist Men perform quarterly service projects for members of the congregation and community. The group holds an annual charitable golf tournament and an annual spiritual retreat.     Disciple Bible Study
    In Disciple Bible Study, trained facilitators lead participants through a 34-week study of scripture. Disciple classes I, II, and IV along with "Jesus in the Gospels" are offered beginning in late August 2007. Contact John Allen at 770.932.2714 or Harvey Mann for more information.

    Short Term Studies
    Several short-term topical courses meet throughout the year. For Fall 2007, classes are offered on Sunday evenings, Monday mornings, Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings and evenings. For information on short term studies, contact Harvey Mann at 770.271.8855 ext. 305. A brochure containing all the current spiritual growth opportunities is available at the Welcome Center of the church every Sunday.
