"Let the children come to me." This well-know quote from Jesus is how Hamilton
Mill United Methodist Church feels about its children. HMUMC realizes that
children are the future of the church and the world. Our purpose is to guide them in
their spiritual journey with Bible lessons, nurture and love. The church offers a
variety of programs for children of all ages.

At Sunday School your children will make new friends while learning the stories of the Bible in
a fun, inspiring way. Our classroom placement procedure follows the Gwinnett County policy of using September 1 as the cut off date for placement.
We promote once a year on the first Sunday in June. We have classes for age 3, age 4 and grades K-5 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. At 11 a.m., 3-year-olds go to Sunday School; children in pre-K and Kindergarten go to their respective worship classes; children in grades 1-3 attend the beginning of worship in the Sanctuary and then are dismissed to enjoy C.O.O.L. service downstairs; and children in grades 4 and 5 have Sunday School.

J-Towne is held on Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. J-Towne follows the Rotation Model curriculum, which allows the children to learn the same Christian theme over a five to six-week period by participating in a different sensory activity each week. These activities include: cooking, video, art, storytelling, games and music.
J-Towne is for children ages 4 (as of September 1) through grade 5. For information on children's activities, contact
Director of Children's Ministries Robyn Tschantz.

Vacation Bible School is held the first week in June and follows a Christian theme. Music, storytelling, recreation, snack, games and more make for a fun-filled week of spiritual growth and fellowship.

Wonderful Wednesdays is our summer program. It runs for five Wednesdays during the summer and is based around five Christian themes. Children have the chance to have fun and learn in a safe, Christian environment with their friends! Children are placed in classes based on their age. The cost is $100 per child for the entire program. Children bring a lunch each day while we provide a snack.
