Join us in the Sanctuary for pizza, salad and a talent show Wednesday, May 11 from 5:30-7:00pm as our Kidz Praize Choir share their talents with our church family. Stamp Out Hunger - May 14 |
STAMP OUT HUNGER
This event is sponsored by the National Associating of Letter Carriers through the US Postal Service. If each family can put a bag of canned food at their mailbox on Saturday, May 14, your letter carrier will pick it up and take it back to the Postal Distribution Center in this area. Local churches and co-ops will be receiving this food.
HMUMC's Food Pantry will be one of the recipients this year. |

May 14
This year's Fun Run is Saturday, May 14! We are continuing our support for CURE Childhood Cancer, as well as supporting The Pantry at HMUMC. We are expecting over 400 runners and walkers to participate this year! If you are interested in being a sponsor, contact Stewart Hackney.
7th Annual HMUMC 2011 Fun Run Participants
Registration is $15 by April 24 (guarantees you a t-shirt) and $20 after April 24. If you cannot walk, run, or attend the race, a donation of $15 allows you to participate as a Phantom Runner. | Meet The Need Ministry | 
Meet the Need Ministry
The HMUMC Men's Ministry helps support the Meet the Need Ministry, which provides homeless men in our area a safe place to live and an introduction to Christian doctrine. They also help the men get back on their feet and find a job. This ministry helps many men who otherwise would be living on the streets in our area. The "leaders" of this ministry are devout and dedicated Christians, Jane and Rene Alvarez. They have just opened a Thrift Shop to help pay for the expenses of this mission. We ask the help of our HMUMC family through their donations of unwanted items such as appliances, furniture, household items and clothing. The Thrift Shop is located at 100 Hurricane Shoals Rd., Lawrenceville, GA at the intersection of Collins Hill Rd. If you have items to pick up, please call the store at 770-616-4148. |
